So, let’s get into it:

The European Union has launched two new call for pilot projects and preparatory actions in the fields of Sport for People and Planet, and the use of sport in emergencies/humanitarian crises. Selected projects from across Europe will share a total budget of €3.5 million. The closing date to submit your application is 17 October 2023.

Safe Online have launched a $10m USD call for proposals, seeking new solutions to protect children and build a safer internet. Global non-profit networks can apply for up to $750k each for initiatives such as the development of gender-sensitive and inclusive programmes, solutions and tools. Proposals must be submitted by the 31st October this year. Consortia of organisations with different strengths and expertise are highly encouraged.

Scottish organisations can apply for unrestricted funding of up to £40,000 for work that increases opportunities for Deaf/Disabled People and / or people living with long term conditions, helping them to participate fully in society and live independently. Funding is provided via the Henry Duncan grants scheme. Only small organisations are eligible, and at least 30% of grants will  go to organisations who are Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic Led. Apply before the end of August.

The global GIZ Sport for Development programme - which invests in hundreds of community sport organisations around the world and has already trained over 9,000 coaches - is launching a new digital community this weekend. The new platform will provide opportunities for people to connect with sport for development organisations all over the world, access training and development resources and guides, and be part of future GIZ programmes. Pre-registrations are open now, with the community launching officially on August 12th. Membership is free.
