Hello!

On The Ball is a fortnightly newsletter and digital platform sharing opportunities, tools, tricks, and templates to help you unlock new income for your business or non-profit in sport.

This week we have thirteen (!!) opportunities for you to consider, including:

- Seven grants and/or funding competitions
- Three networking events
- Three resources and/or tools

Don’t forget, only paid members get full access to the list plus 24/7 access to the On The Ball + digital hub featuring a full events calendar, grants database and more.

So, let’s get into it:

The European Commission have launched a new EUR 9 million call for projects dedicated to developing young people’s skills and helping them to integrate into the labour market. Individual grants of between EUR 200,000 and EUR 700,000 will be awarded to projects helping vulnerable youth, and in particular young people not in employment, education or training (NEETs), to develop skills that can lead to them finding employment or becoming entrepreneurs.  Proposals must include at least two applicants from different EU Member States – a coordinator and one or several co-applicants – and must be co-funded for at least 20% of the total budget. The deadline for proposals is 29 February 2024 at 17:00 CET.

The European Commission’s flagship sport funding programme “Erasmus+ Sport” is back, and registration for the Erasmus+ Sport Info Day 2024 is now open. The event - hosted in Brussels - will inform potential applicants about the political context, future programme and funding opportunities in 2024. You can also expect plenty of networking opportunities, and specific workshops designed to help you successfully secure funding. The event takes place on the 30th January and is free to attend. However, capacity is limited and last year the event sold out pretty quickly!

The October Club is looking for its 2024 charity partner, looking to award circa £500k to a UK based charity looking to deliver a transformational project based across several UK regions. The October Club funds small and growing charities with voluntary income of between £500,000 and £2.5mn per annum, and any money raised through the partnership must be spent within three years. Sport for Development charity Empire Fighting Chance was a previous charity of the year partner. The application process is open until Friday 16 February.
