So, let’s get into it:

The Detwiler Family Foundation invites applications for grants of between $5,000 and $50,000 USD in support of organizations that can demonstrate an impact on children dealing with issues such as health, welfare, security, and financial hardship. Organisations may apply for grants to support specific projects, programs, or capital campaigns that will enhance the organization’s ability to serve children. Eligible organizations must be in the Pennsylvania counties of Chester or Montgomery; Atlanta, Georgia; Flathead County, Montana, the Upper Valley Region in Vermont/New Hampshire; or Portland, Oregon. All applications must be submitted by July 1st, and recipients will be notified by October 30th, 2024.

The npower Business Solutions Foundation is a new fund to help create stronger, greener and more sustainable local communities within England. The Foundation is looking to support projects taking vital steps to improve the environment, champion local skills or employment, support local educational institutions, encourage responsible business and improve places and spaces. Three levels of funding bands are available: up to £20,000, up to £40,000 and up to £100,000, with applications accepted at any time. Applicants must be not for profits or educational institutions, be at least two years old and based within, or delivering a project within, a 50 mile radius of npower’s offices in Solihull and Leeds. 

Over in Australia, the ActiveKIT Super Round is now open to support innovative solutions within the active industry to increase physical activity opportunities for Queenslanders and contribute to system-wide capability improvements. ActiveKIT will support the active industry, startups or small to medium businesses through investments of up to $200,000 AUD to develop, trial or implement new and innovative solutions that enable inclusive, social, flexible and/or commitment-free physical activity opportunities for all that helps to create a positive mindset and encourages physical activity involvement for life. To be considered eligible, organisations must be based or headquartered in Queensland Australia. Expressions of interest must be submitted before May 22nd, with full applications welcomed throughout June.

The Morris and Gwendolyn Cafritz Foundation invites applications from nonprofits in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area for grants of $20,000+ USD, awarded to projects in five program areas: arts and humanities, community services, education, environment, and health and wellness. Programmes that help young people to improve their academic performance, gain employment, develop relationships with trusted adults and make connections to the larger community are particularly encouraged. Grant application deadlines are March 1st, July 1st, and November 1st. Applications must be received no later than 5:00 p.m. on deadline dates. The review and assessment process generally takes four to six months.

The Adverse Childhood Experiences Programme from the Leathersellers’ Foundation provides multi-year grants of up to four years of £20,000-£25,000 per annum, to charities and CIOs throughout the UK working to help prevent and tackle the consequences of adverse childhood experiences.  Examples include organisations working with young people who have experienced physical, sexual or psychological/emotional abuse or neglect, domestic abuse, or mental illness of a close family member. Last year the programme received 378 expressions of interest, 46 organisations were invited to make full applications, and 22 grants were allocated. Organisations must have an annual turnover of between £200,000 and £2m to be eligible. Expressions of interest must be submitted by May 24th to be considered.
