So, let’s get into it:

Nike and Spotify have teamed up to launch the Make Moves Fund - providing £20k grants to UK-based community organisations to pioneer innovative, girl-first programmes that combine music and movement. Proposed projects should reach girls aged between 10-17 from diverse and low socioeconomic backgrounds, and run for at least 4 months between 1st March and 31st August 2024. To apply, organisations must be registered in the UK and have an annual income of more than £40,000 in the most recent financial year. Deadline for submissions is 30th November 2023.

The Government of New South Wales, Australia, has committed up to $30 million to the Level the Playing Field Program to revive sport facilities in the state by investing in new or upgrading existing sport facilities, amenities and sporting fields. In particular, investments are focused on projects that ensure women and girls have equitable access to sport and recreation facilities, have positive participation experiences, and ultimately are more likely to utilise sport facilities. The grant amount requested by an applicant must be a minimum of $200,000 and cannot exceed $2,000,000 AUD. Applications close on November 30th, with decisions expected in March.

The national Active Partnerships organisation in England is seeking a partner to carry out an external evaluation of the organisation’s board of trustees in order to ensure compliance with the code for sports governance and best prepare the organisation for its future. The evaluation should include board meeting observations, consultation with trustees and team members, and a thorough review of systems and processes. It is anticipated that the cost of this work will be in the region of up to £5,000 plus VAT. Tender responses are expected to be submitted before the end of October, with work set to start in December.

The Conference of Ministers of Youth and Sports of the Francophonie (CONFEJES) has issued a call for proposals for projects in the field of women’s sport and health. Grants of up to 5,000,000 CFA (circa $8,000 USD) will be awarded to organisations working to increase the number of women involved in sport and health related activities within French-speaking territories and CONFEJES member countries. Eligible projects must involved at least two organisation-level partners, last no longer than six months, and source 10% of total project costs from elsewhere. Applications must be submitted in French before October 31st.
