So, let’s get into it:
Fundraising specialists Remedy have launched a new, free self-assessment tool for organisations using sport for good around the world. The Fundraising Readiness assessment evaluates your organisation across six core areas including governance, impact, storytelling and your ask to give you an independent picture of your fundraising strengths and weaknesses and a personalised report. The assessment tool is free to use and can be accessed at any time. Submission should take less than ten minutes and results are shared instantly.
The Swedish Postcode Foundation have launched a new fund focused on improving the futures of young people. Grants will be made to organisations in Sweden working to ensure children and young people in social and economic exclusion have better future prospects, experience increased self-determination and/or have increased opportunities to fulfill their rights in society. A total of circa 2.5m EUR will be distributed through the fund to several projects, with applications welcomed for grants of 40.000EUR and more. The length of the projects can vary, but they must be a minimum of 6 months and a maximum of 3 years. Proposals must be submitted before April 30th, with grants expected to be awarded in October.
The Sports 4 Life programme from the US-based Womens Sports Foundation offers community funding and seeks to effect sustainable improvement to the overall health and development of girls in communities through grant making, leadership training and capacity-building efforts. The program seeks to increase the participation and retention of Black, African-American, Hispanic and/or Native American girls, inclusive of American Indian and Alaska Native communities. Grants of up to $10,000 are available to US-based non-profits in the current round. Letters of intent should be submitted by April 5th, with shortlisted applicants invited to make a full application in May.
The Postcode Neighbourhood Trust supports smaller charities and good causes in the North of England to make a difference to their community for the benefit of people and planet. Unrestricted grants of up to £25,000 are available for organisations working to enable participation in sport and physical activity, reduce the impact of poverty, tackle inequalities and more. Round one of three in 2024 opens on the 25th March and closes on April 1st. The application process is extremely straightforward, and future rounds open in June and September.
