On The Ball is a fortnightly newsletter brought to you by our team at Remedy. We curate funding opportunities, competitions and networking events in sport for good so that you don’t have to.

This week we have 14 opportunities for you to consider. Don’t forget, only paid members get full access to the list.

So, let’s get into it:

Only six weeks left to grab a ticket for the inaugural Sport Fundraising Summit, taking place in London on the 26th February 2025. The event features a variety of workshops and panel discussions featuring the likes of Adidas, Common Goal, the adidas Foundation, the International Olympic Committee, Comic Relief, Soccer Without Borders, the Generation Amazing Foundation and plenty more! Tickets include breakfast, lunch, refreshments all day and access to the post-event networking session in Farringdon. Use code OTB to get 15% off at checkout.

The Fiba Foundation is back with its annual "Propose a Project" application window, inviting organisations committed to using basketball as a tool to empower, educate and inspire youth worldwide. The foundation is taking a particular interest in projects aligning with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through basketball. The focus of the project must be in one of the following areas: Health and Wellbeing, Gender Equality, Refugees and Displaced People, People with Disabilities, or Climate Change. Successful organisations will receive a grant of between 1,000-3,000 USD, 50-100 basketballs or mentoring support, and the window to apply closes on 28th February.

Premiership Rugby has launched a tender process for their first official charity partner. Launching at the beginning of the 2025/26 season for an initial two-year period, the charity will be collaborating with the top league of English Rugby and its 10 member clubs across the Gallagher Premiership, the Premiership Rugby Cup and the U18s Academy League. Applications are welcomed from charities whose work aligns with one or more of the following causes: health and wellbeing, children and young people, and/or tackling inequalities. The selected charity will benefit from official charity partner status, brand awareness, shirt number rights, competition final rights, play and venue access, designated commercial inventory and fundraising opportunities. The deadline to apply will be 20th February 2025.

Supporting small charities in the UK, CABWI is welcoming grants for its Lifelong Learning and Development Fund. The fund aims to get more people entering the labour market or gaining additional skills to develop their careers further. Priority is given to projects working directly with NEET individuals, ex-service personnel and ex-offenders, or those with complex barriers to employment. Organisations with an income between £231,000 and £1m can apply for grants of up to £35,000, and those with a lesser income can apply for a maximum of 15% of their previous year's turnover. The deadline to apply is 3rd February.

Nike's Community Impact Fund is offering grants to organisations delivering projects that power the future of youth sport in Amsterdam, Amersfoort, Hilversum and Utrecht. Non-profit organisations, community organisations and clubs from the eligible cities can apply for grants ranging from €5,000 to €20,000, with a total funding pool of €140,000 available. Projects must aim to drive positive, lasting change through youth sports, and partnerships between sporting and other associations are viewed favourably. Other global Nike Community Impact Fund opportunities are available in select locations. While applicants may partner with schools or local authorities, these institutions cannot apply directly. Applications will be assessed by Nike employees who have received specialised training and can leverage their local expertise. The deadline for applications is February 13th.
