Sport for employability focused organisations in the UK are encouraged to apply for the latest Youth Employment grant round from Impetus, which is offering £100k in unrestricted grant funding per year for two years to organisations supporting young people to prepare for and find work. Impetus are particularly keen to partner with organisations supporting young people from ethnic minority backgrounds, and in particular those from Bangladeshi, Pakistani, and Black communities. Up to three awards are expected to be made following an intensive assessment process that features three application stages and site visits. Applications must be submitted by April 7th.
GB Boxing are seeking a new charity partner to help design, develop and deliver programmes and activities that use sport (and boxing in particular) to help enhance and improve social capital amongst young people and communities across the UK. It’s not clear from the brief (beyond awareness) what the charity partner will receive as part of the partnership, but there is the opportunity to engage with GB Boxing staff, athletes and fans through the relationship. To be eligible, prospective charity partners must have a presence in Sheffield or South Yorkshire and be able to demonstrate experience of working with young people on mental health and wellbeing. Expressions of interest should be submitted before March 4th.
The L’Oreal Fund for Women focuses on supporting women and girls’ empowerment, particularly through projects in favor of social or professional integration and education. Grants of up to $150,000+ per year are available, and several sport related interventions have been funded in the past. Specific attention is paid to projects serving refugee women and women with disabilities. Eligible organisations must have been in existence for at least two years. Applications can be made for work taking place anywhere in the world. Apply before February 29th, though future rounds are expected later in the year.
The Scott Bader Commonwealth Local Charity Fund is back, offering awards of up to £10,000 to projects focused on education, poverty or the environment in communities where the company operates around the world including the UK, USA, South Africa, India and several other nations.
