So, let’s get into it:
FIFA and GIZ have teamed up again to launch a call for projects working to tackle gender inequality, gender-based violence and facilitate access for women to activities that improve their lives through sport for development. Funding of up to €22,000 is available for projects lasting up to 12 months in specific countries within Africa, Latin America, Asia, the Western Balkans and the Middle East. To be eligible, organisation’s must be registered in one of the target countries and have an annual income of less than €500,000 per year. Applications must be submitted via the “Portal Solidaire” platform before Sunday, November 12th - in English or French.
The Youth Endowment Fund have launched a Testing for Impact grants round to learn about the effectiveness of different approaches to preventing young people becoming involved in crime and violence in England and Wales. They are looking to fund large-scale (reaching 400+ young people) diversionary or prevention programmes over a maximum of a two-year period, and specifically cite sport and physical activity as an area of interest. To be eligible, projects must be ready for a large-scale impact evaluation and be run by an organisation that has the capacity and skills to deliver programmes at scale. Applications are open until 5pm on Friday 8th December.
The International Table Tennis Federation Foundation (ITTFF) have relaunched the Dream Building Fund, inviting applications for projects using table tennis to address societal issues and local challenges around the world. Grants of up to €35,000 will be awarded to five projects lasting up to three years, with programmes expected to start in May 2024. Activities can be delivered anywhere in the world. Applications can be made in English, Arabic, French and Spanish before December 17th. Announcements will be made in January 2024, with support from the ITTF team to further develop and design programme delivery.
British Wrestling is seeking consultancy support to develop a ten-year events strategy for Wrestling in the UK. A budget of up to £10,000 including VAT is available for this project, which is expected to cover development of the ten-year strategy, consultation with key stakeholders, and thorough examination of the prospective business models underpinning the strategy. Proposals must be submitted before November 17th and work is expected to start in December, with the strategy presented in April.
