In the North-West of England, Football For Change is inviting applications to their grant programme, favouring organisations working towards reducing social and economic barriers for young people reaching their full potential. Priority will be given to social mobility projects working within education, employment and sport, especially those working with young people out of employment, facing significant social and economic challenges and/or BAME communities. Grants of up to £10,000 are available, with £75,000 awarded to Merseyside organisations and £25,000 to Greater Manchester-based organisations. The deadline for applications is 20th December.
The latest call for proposals from the Erasmus+ Programme is now live, with a larger-than-ever total of €76+ million available for sport-focused programmes through the 2025 funding round. Grants of up to €450,000 each are available to EU-centric consortiums working in the field of sport, depending on the specific programme you apply to. Specific priorities this round include encouraging healthy lifestyles for all, promoting integrity and values in sport, promoting education in and through sport, and promoting education and European values in and through sport. The key deadlines for the 2025 round are: mobility of staff in the field of sport (12th February), Cooperation Partnerships (5th March), capacity building in the field of sport (5th March), and not-for-profit European Sport Events (5th March).
In Australia, the Victoria State government has announced round two of the Regional Community Sports Infrastructure Fund. The fund is open to Local Government Authorities in rural and regional Victoria and Alpine Resorts Victoria to deliver new and upgraded community sports infrastructure. The fund aims to ensure facilities are accessible and participation initiatives are organised to welcome more people with disabilities to community sports. Partnerships between the Victorian Government, Local Government Authorities, Alpine Resorts Victoria, Regional Sports Assemblies, sporting clubs and associations, schools, educational institutions, community organisations and disability service providers are encouraged. With six different funding streams, grants range between $40,000 and $5 million depending on project area and eligibility. The deadline to apply is 17th March 2025.
Geico Philanthropic Foundation is welcoming applications to their Community Engagement Funding Programme. Organisations in the US should be working towards improving education and promoting equity within communities. Programmes should prioritise the following areas: Financial Literacy, Food Insecurity, Environmental Conservation, Animal Welfare and Advocacy, or Health and Wellness Initiatives. The deadline to apply to the programme is the 31st of December.
