Opportunities from Albert Gubay Foundation, Lululemon and ten others.
Curated funding opportunities and networking events in sport for good.
On The Ball is a fortnightly newsletter brought to you by our team at Remedy. We curate funding opportunities, competitions and networking events in sport for good so that you don’t have to.
This week we have 12 opportunities for you to consider. Don’t forget, only paid members get full access to the list.
So, let’s get into it:
Social Investment Business’s Better Youth Spaces fund is inviting applications from not-for-profit youth organisations in 42 priority areas of England (see funder website for full list). These areas have been selected based on the Income Deprivation Affecting Children Index. Applicants can apply for equipment and/or refurbishment costs to support small-scale capital projects, enabling them to better support the young people they work with. Funding must be used to either increase the reach of the activities, improve facility safety, increase capacity, support priority areas based on youth need, or improve the organisation’s financial sustainability. Grant sizes range from £5,000 to £100,000 per site, with applicants needing to provide purchase quotes within their request. Funding applications must be for the entire cost of the work/equipment, as the Better Youth Spaces fund does not consider part funding or match funding requests. The deadline for all applications is 4th September 2025.
Lululemon has announced the latest round of the Here to Be grant programme, which funds community-led organisations that advance wellbeing and belonging through movement, mindfulness, and advocacy. Grants are open to non-profit and charitable organisations that centre equity and social justice in their approach, particularly those serving communities most impacted by systemic inequity. The programme supports initiatives that promote mental, physical, and social wellbeing, with grants typically ranging from $5,000 to $50,000 USD. Applicants must show evidence of community leadership, clear impact measurement, and long-term sustainability. Applications for the 2025 cycle must be submitted through lululemon’s grant portal by 28th August 2025.
In the UK, the Albert Gubay Foundation is open to support charities across England and Wales, the Isle of Man, and the Republuc of Ireland, that are working in one or more of the following areas: victims of modern slavery, victims of domestic abuse, ex-offenders and their families, homelessness, medical research, support for people with terminal illnesses/life limiting conditions and their carers, drug and substance misuse, support for people with intellectual disability, care leavers: to give them a chance to succeed on a par with other young people, Worship and associated community outreach, Amateur sport, or Care for the elderly. The area of Amateur sport is to improve physical and mental health with a focus on sport provision for people with disabilities. With no set financial parameters, most recent grants have sat between £30,000 and £300,000, depending on the size and scale of the programmes. Deadlines for this grant are rolling.
