So, let’s get into it:

The Adidas Foundation’s United By Sport fund is launching this month, awarding grants to organisations working to combat discrimination and hate through sport. Organisations can apply for up to 700,000(!) EUR each for projects that use sport as a tool for responding to the vulnerabilities of specific groups and communities particularly affected by intolerance, racism, xenophobia, and discrimination. Grants are made on a global basis. Applications will open on March 18th, and close on May 31st, 2024, at 11:59pm CEST.

The London Marathon Foundation’s Active Spaces Fund is for projects that will improve and activate spaces, places and facilities in London that will help the least active children, young people and underserved groups and communities to lead active and healthy lives.  The fund will invest in a wide range of inclusive sports and physical activities – from boxing to wheelchair basketball, street dance to seated exercise classes and play to Pilates. You can apply for funding between £10,000 and £80,000 for capital projects, revenue projects, and projects with both capital and revenue costs. This is an open fund with opportunities to apply all-year round. Projects must take place within London.

The French Embassy in Mali has re-launched a fund dedicated to young people, with the aim of encouraging entrepreneurship in the sports environment and encourage the development of economic activities linked to sport. The competition is open to all young athletes aged 15 to 30, with funding awards of up to 3,800 EUR per project. Projects that merge sport with other fields such as the environment, health, gender, education, social assistance, or digital technology will be particularly appreciated. Young athletes based in Mali are eligible, and proposals must be submitted before March 12th.

British Equestrian, the National Governing Body for horse sports in the UK, is seeking a research partner to help understand and articulate the equestrian sector’s contribution to the nation’s health and wellbeing. The RFP is not written very clearly, but prospective partners are expected to design and lead a research study that includes a literature review, evidence gathering and production of a research report on the social value contribution of Equestrian in the UK. The contract budget is £17,500 including VAT, and work is expected to start in late April. Apply before the 22nd March to be considered.
