Hello!

On The Ball is a fortnightly newsletter and digital platform sharing opportunities, tools, tricks, and templates to help you unlock new income for your business or non-profit in sport. Our ambition is to democratise sales, business development, and fundraising in the industry.

This week we have another fourteen (!!) opportunities for you to consider, from upcoming networking events and exhibitions to grants, funds, incubators and so much more. From here on in we’ll be jam-packed full of the latest funders, guides, events, and tools curated specifically for sales, business development, and fundraising in sport and the surrounding industries.

Don’t forget, paid members get full access to the list plus 24/7 access to the On The Ball + digital hub featuring an events calendar, grants database and more.

So, let’s get into it:

🤝Think! Sponsorship are hosting ‘Sponsorship: Reworked’ at the Barbican in London on April 18th, featuring plenty of interesting sponsors and networking opportunities with decision makers in sport. Expect representatives from brands including TikTok, Ebay, Vodafone, BMW, Cazoo and more. Standard rate tickets start at £425, or virtual attendance costs £55.

🙋‍♂️The National Citizen Service Trust are offering grants of up to £500,000+ for organisations in England who are able to offer experiences for young people that help them to develop life skills, become work-ready, mix socially and contribute positively to society. There are two types of grants available; open-to-all and targeted, and the value of grants available vary accordingly. Consortium/partnership bids are encouraged, and the window for submitting applications closes at 9am on the 20th March. FYI: Many football club community organisations have received grants from NCS in the past.

💻Not one, but three service contracts being advertised at the Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF); the administrative and controlling body for African football. CAF have in the past week issued tenders for a new website, a new digital partner, and a new marketing service provider. Proposals need to be submitted by the 21st, 20th and 30th March respectively. Good luck if you’re going for all three. The CAF procurement team are in for a rough month!
