So, let’s get into it:
⛹️♀️ESPN and the Women’s Sport Foundation have launched a (minimum) fund of $280,000USD that will be distributed to sport participation projects serving Black, African-American, Hispanic, and/or Native American girls aged 11-18. Eligible applicants include nonprofit schools, parks and recreation departments, nonprofit organizations, or amateur sports leagues in the USA. Funding can be used for coaching, curriculum, equipment, uniforms, transportation, facility rental, tournaments and/or team-building activities. Submit a letter of intent via the Foundation’s online portal before April 7th.
💰The Mayor of London, London Marathon Foundation and Sport England have partnered to launch an unprecedented investment into community sport within London via the Go!London fund. £19.5m will be distributed through grants of up to £150,000 to support existing programmes or trial new activities that support under-served children and young people. To apply, you’ll first need to complete a “fit to fund” quiz which closes next week. The full application process closes later in April.
🤝In Dublin next week, more than 1000 people from across the sport industry are expected to come together at the One-Zero summit at the Aviva Stadium. Topics include sport tech, investment and growth, esports, and athlete entrepreneurship, and there will be speakers from Manchester United, Puma, the NBA, Twitter and more.
